The story behind BIFF's 2015 visuals

BIFF's 2015 Visuals

In Short

This year's visuals represents the relation between man, movies and pop corn.

Full explanation of concept

This year's BIFF Visual is a combination of Nature, Man And Machinery that are all being represented equally.

  • Nature: From Corn cobs, and Hummingbirds.
  • Man: As the center of everything.
  • Machinery: Represented by the camera, and the film reel.

The visual is symmetrical to represent balance and strength. The repetition also symbolizes that it's an industry that will keep on growing.

All The Objects used in this visual represent cinema, be it the camera, the film reels or the pop corn which is this year's center of attraction, be it with the corn cobs or the pop corn hat.

Also note that in this visual the 5 senses are represented:

  • Sound: From the hummingbirds.
  • Taste & Smell: From the pop corn and the pop corn cobs.
  • Touch: From the skin of the male's torso.
  • Sight: From the man's eyes and machine looking sunglasses.

We opted to use a male figure this year, since last year we had used a female as a hero across all our visuals.
